Are you Ready for Some Q & A?

dental careWe love answering the questions our patients have about our services, our training, or their dental health. Sometimes, though, we also like to turn the tables. That is exactly what we will do here, in this brief quiz to test your knowledge of oral health and dentistry.

True or False

  1. To get straight teeth, choose braces or Invisalign.

False. There are several systems available to straighten teeth. An additional option available in our New Orleans office is Six-Month Smiles. This method is similar to both braces and Invisalign in that, one, there are brackets and a wire and, two, that fixtures are barely noticeable. Where Six-Month Smiles differentiates is in its goal. The reason that results are achieved within 4 to 9 months is that we focus on front teeth only. This gives you a beautiful smile you crave.

  1. Dentures are always sloppy and fake-looking.

Dentures have improved quite a bit over the years. No longer are these fixtures created with completely uniform teeth that all sit in a perfect smile line. Yes, we make your dentures look beautiful, but we understand that beautiful means that your false teeth look natural. Modern materials are also more similar to enamel, shining and appearing more translucent than previously used materials. Finally, dentures can now be stabilized with a few dental implants. Patients of Fleur de Lis Dental Care are invited to learn more about the All-on-4 technique available in our office.

  1. Dental visits are unpleasant. Period.

False! We work hard to meet our patients’ needs, including the need for complete comfort. Knowing that dental care is far more difficult for some people, we have chosen to offer sedation to mitigate dental anxiety. Oral conscious sedation means you feel nothing; no pain, and not a twinge of the anxiety that may have kept you from seeing the dentist for many, many years. We would be happy to provide you with full details of sedation dentistry when you call our New Orleans office.

Don’t worry if you don’t know everything about dentistry; that’s our job! What you need to know is that we are here to support you in maintaining a healthy, beautiful smile. Call 504-486-3339.
